About Glacial Art Glass

Glacial Art Glass began in Portland, Oregon, in 2008, as a desire to satisfy the need for several much sought after but hard to find accessory glass products for glass fusers, torchworkers, and glass blowers.

Murrine, or Murrini (also known as millefiori/millefiore) for glass fusing artists were at the top of our list. They are fun and universally useful for adding excitement and detail to glass art. However, they are difficult to make with just a kiln, and few of those available for purchase are made with the type of glass that kilnworkers most commonly use.

We spent some R&D time to develop quality Murrine made with Bullseye glass especially for warm-glass enthusiasts. Click here to see what 6 things make our Murrine the best choice for kiln-fusing.

Since then we have expanded our products to include both COE 90 and 96  Zanfirico Cane, Dots, Frit Balls, Stringfetti, Stringer Samples, Sheet glass sample sizes, and many more Murrine designs.

What's next for 2021 and beyond? We are developing some specialty glass tools that we are very excited about. Stay tuned!
