About Our Fusible Glass Bails

These fusible precut glass bails are made from Clear Bullseye Glass and are compatible with any other COE 90 glass. They are the best solution for hanging your glass art easily without the need for drilling holes.

Our glass bails are 3mm thick, .5 inches in diameter, and come in packs of 5, 20, and 100. Elevate your glass artwork by fusing one of our COE 90 glass bails for easy hanging.

Why Choose Glacial’s Fusible Glass Bails?

These COE 90 glass bails are designed to fuse seamlessly onto your glass art, creating an elegant loop which you can use to hang your small pieces. Drilling through finished glass is risky for the glass, time-intensive, and requires special tools. Save time by fusing these glass bails right onto your glass.

Our fusible glass bails are reliable, simple, and versatile.

How to Use Precut Glass Bails

There are two main ways we recommend connecting one of these bails to your glass artwork:

  1. Place a small piece of glass (such as a piece of frit, glass dot, frit ball, or murrine) above the open gap of the bail such that the small piece of glass overlaps both your glass piece and the bail.
  2. OR for a hidden attachment, slide the bail under your work so that the edge overlaps the open gap side of the bail. This method is recommended for works that have two or more layers of 3mm glass.

Firing Notes

  • Fuse to 1430°F-1470°F (775°C-800°C). (Fast firing - adjust lower for slower firings)
  • Avoid exceeding 1485°F to keep the bail hole open.
  • If firing above 1485°F, fire your work separately and attach the bail in a second firing.
  • If firing below 1430°F, fire the base and bail together at 1430°F or higher first, then proceed with lower temp firing.

Tips on Using the Bails

  • Only use these COE 90 bails on glass projects using COE glass! Fusing multiple glass elements with different COEs will cause cracks and ruin your artwork. If you are looking for COE 96 glass bails, click here to view our COE 96 fusible glass bails.
  • Make sure the slit side of the bail is facing the inside of your piece.
  • Bails can be used as design elements, not just hangers.
